It wasn't until later, on my way home, that I came to realize, to define, my sensations: I had lived the experience of being inside a painting by Eduardo Pisano; where colours interpret space and dimension with light, from within! There is no place more imaginary, and so more real, than this.

Welcome to Fonte Bertusi

Imagine an ancient Tuscan farmhouse immersed in a breathtaking valley, imagine that you have traveled back in time, and think of moments of absolute relaxation, where the flavor of the past is combined with the skillful professionalism of an organization with years of experience: Fonte Bertusi is everything you have been imagining. Fonte Bertusi was one of the first facilities to offer “green” vacations in the Val d’Orcia. An 18th-century farmhouse surrounded by the Crete Senesi offers its guests apartments, a Massage Center, breakfast service and an outdoor swimming pool. The owners are a family of artists who have given one various light to every angle of the property. But it is the nature, remained unchanged from centuries, to being the true protagonist. One perfect combination between nature, art and history.

What clients say about Fonte Bertusi

The perfect location
Fonte Bertusi is the perfect place to stay, it encapsulates all that is wonderful about tuscany. the location is beautiful and peaceful, with views to Monte Amiata, the apartments are charming, and the family could not be more welcoming and helpful. the breakfast buffet is superb with a wonderful array of local produce and homemade breads, and the cappuchino is a must. The location just south of pienza is ideal for walking and touring to places like Montalcino, Montipulciano and Sant Antimo, and Sienna and San Gimignano are easily reached. This is the best location we have stayed in in italy.

Heaven is a place called Fonte Bertusi
Descrizione: year. This year we found Fonte Bertusi…and a little bit of heaven! We spent the most relaxing two weeks ever in the most beautiful surroundings, with Edoardo and his lovely family. We are now busy planning our return for June 2009; our 13-week old little girl, Isabella, would never forgive us if we didn’t return next year!

The most beautiful place in Tuscany
We have very much enjoyed our stay at Fonte Bertusi. We never go twice to the same place because there is so much to see in Italy but we have already booked for 2008. Can’t wait to go back. Greetings from Ellen, Matthijs, Emma and David.
