My family and I spent a wonderful week at Fonte Bertusi in June. We were charmed by the Pisano family as well as by their pets, the beautiful surroundings, and the comfortable apartment. We didn't think it was possible to find quiet in Tuscany in summer, but Fonte Bertusi was the perfect place to come home too after a day of seeing the busy towns nearby. Sheep grazed in the meadow nearby each morning, and the sound of their clanging bells reached us as we strolled before breakfast. Everywhere we looked was postcard perfect, but the owners keep everything down to earth and comfortable. We had wonderful breakfasts served by Manuela and Andrea, took refreshing swims, read in the hammocks, watched the fireflies come out at night and got to know the cats, kittens and dog. It was hard to move on when our week came to an end.

We highly recommend Fonte Bertusi as a great base for exploring beautiful Tuscan hill towns and for the lovely atmosphere you'll find on site.
