White Truffle
Crete Senesi’s white truffle exhibition
Every year, the village of San Giovanni d'Asso organize an exhibition of one of the rarest and best delicacies in the world, the white truffle (Tuber Magnatum pico). On the second and third weekends of November, the basements of the fourteenth-century castle, are set up for this event. In addition to the exhibition, you can taste truffle and other local products, attend truffle hunting demonstrations and street shows. There are also food stands, cooking shows and street food. You can also visit farms or take part in suggestive walks in the woods.
