The fulcrum of the event will once again be Piazza Pio II, in the background of the Cathedral. The large square will turn into a marvelous ephemeral garden, offering an unmissable, very fragile and amazing sight, unique in the world.
Walking through the streets of the historic center of Pienza, in spring and in the summer, you can certainly see how the beauty of this town is highlighted by a massive presence of flowers. These plants embellish ancient doors and balconies, and are a distinctive trait of the beautiful town. Pienza loves flowers, and during the second weekend of May, the traditional Pienza fan lowers festival is held, and the streets of the town explode with colors and inebriating perfumes. This festival is rich in stands and original ideas all dedicated to flowers and plants. During these days, moreover, many magnificent Val d'Orcia’s garden are open so you can have a colorful visit. This festival is a riot of nature, beauty and colors designed to pay homage to the beautiful season.
